Policies & Procedures

The San Mateo Adult School serves over 8,000 students annually. We are a service of the San Mateo Union High School District to the communities of San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and Foster City. We are committed to fulfilling the mandate of Adult Education in California by directing resources to serving those traditionally underserved; especially those disadvantaged economically or academically.

Refunds are given only if a class is cancelled.

Children are not allowed in classrooms. Childcare is not available.

By state law, smoking is not permitted by anyone anywhere on any of the campuses of the San Mateo Union High School District.

SAN MATEO ADULT AND CAREER EDUCATION, in accordance with applicable federal and state law and SMUHSD policy, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer related or genetic characteristics), genetic information, ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or service in the uniformed services.
