Program Overview
Did you know the California Board of Pharmacy has set their minimum education hours for pharmacy technician training at 240-hours? If you are looking for an exciting career in the medical field, look no further. A career as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will work with people in a professional health environment may be the career path for you! Our comprehensive program is 260-hours which includes a 120-hour externship. Students will be prepared to sit for both certification exams and will get hands-on training in the classroom and during externship.
- 140 classroom hours and 120 clinical hours
- Pharmacy medical terminology and calculations
- Reading and interpreting prescriptions
- Defining generic and brand name drugs
- Skill/Lab materials
Complete requirements for the externship will be provided during the mandatory information session on the first day of class.
